The Forest
There were two places where I loved to wonder as a child.
One was among the open rocks, where the mountain stretched beneath the sky. The other lay deeper within the landscape, where ancient trees grew between enormous boulders softened by moss.

Our village was small. There were only a few houses, a small hotel, the post office, my grandparents' general store and the quiet rhythm of everyday life. It never took long before the last rooftops disappeared behind the rocks and the familiar world quietly faded away..
From there I wandered deeper into a landscape that felt timeless- a world of ancient stone, moss, trees, and silence.
The light changed beneath the trees. The air became cooler. The silence felt different–as though the forest itself was listening.
Many years have passed since I wandered those forests, yet they have never really left me. Their quiet still finds its way into my work, in the forms I create, in the way I search for light, and in the stillness each piece holds.
I have visited many beautiful places since then, but none has ever felt quite like those hidden places among the moss-covered stones.

Some places never really leave us. They continue to live within us, shaping the way we see the world long after we have walked away.
